Picture Day

Happy Wednesday...we made it through yesterday without an major malfunctions. She seemed much happier after school and through the night. We are thinking she is teething again, not sure if its the one's that are already through moving or molars. Yes, molars, already...I checked online and the first ones can come in between 10-11 months and she is teething early so you never know. Today is picture day at school. Just like they have done for decades, the crapy, yet ever treasured school pictures, are taken this morning of any kids at daycare that are signed up. We decided we'd give it a try so Peanut will be having her picture taken today. Not sure how it will turn out but it should be interesting. We have a cute little outfit picked out for her at least. It makes it kind of tricky with this cold weather we have been having but we pulled something together. Have a great Wednesday!

1/4 of the way through...

Another Monday come and gone, I can't believe it's already almost October. Yesterday was alright, as Monday's go. Peanut had a good day at school and was happy when we dropped her off and picked her up. When we got home she had a breakdown of archaic proportions so we aren't sure what brought that on but we gave her some tylenol and she seemed a bit better and had an ok night. I, on the other hand, am stuffed up now, so I slept like crap. Nothing like laying there and knowing you need to fall back asleep as soon as possible because you only have a 1-2 hour window before you wake up again and then not being able to fall back asleep. It rained on and off all day yesterday and it's really window and wet here today still. Hope you had a great start to your week!

Hats, Hats, Hats

Good Morning everyone. Hope you are all waking up after a wonderful weekend. We had a great time, here's a list of some of our events...
- I made Daphne two hats for winter, I'm still perfecting the sizing so one's a little big and one's a little small
- She tried spinach, cheese and toast this weekend
- We had a lazy Saturday
- We went on a family walk (zeus included) twice!
- We went to the grocery store together for the first time ever
- On Saturday she coughed so hard she puked while going to bed, that was sad. She hasn't been coughing too much otherwise so i think it might have just been a bad tickle.
- We napped and played
- Went to the farmers market
It was a pretty low key weekend as you can see. Hope you all had a fun and relaxing one!

9 Month Report

Quick post with our doctor update for those that are wondering...

These are her stats, she is looking great according to the doctor. She did go down in weight, she has always been in 50% but is now in 25%. Her doctor said this is normal around this time and that they tend to start leveling out in weight because they are so active, which she definitely is. She also said her lungs sound clear so it's just a cold and will probably last about 10 days total. Other then that she checked out really well and we go back at 12 months to see the doctor again. We will go back in between for shots since we opted out yesterday since she isn't feeling good. Have a great weekend! We will be hanging out inside today because it is gray and rainy here.

We Made It

Thursday has arrived so we are almost in the clear for our weekend! Yay!!!!! The week has been pretty uneventful, her teeth are all through now so we are at a grand total of 8, she has a yucky cough that we will be talking to the pediatrician about today, she has been being pretty happy at school, still not eating much during the day for them no matter what they do and she is crawling and pulling up like crazy. We are hoping for a calm and relaxing family weekend. Hope you all have a great Thursday!

Me and my Fridge

Good morning. We are having an alright week here, it rained all afternoon yesterday. I didn't mind, it gets me excited for pumpkins and fall weather. I think it is suppose to rain today too but it feels pretty humid out so I could do with out that. Daphne still has her cough so good thing we have a doctors appointment on Thursday. School went well, she took two shorter naps and still didn't eat much. Today's picture is Miss Daphne loving her toy fridge. Have a good Wednesday.

Playdate

We have made it to Tuesday without another centipede citing so we are having a good week. Yesterday was a pretty good day at school and work. Daphne only took a 1/2 hour nap the whole day but she was in pretty good spirits for most of it. She seems to be doing a bit better with drinking there, she had about 5oz, which isn't nearly as much as a few weeks ago but much better then zero! We had dinner with John and Greta last night so Daphne and Olivia had a play date. Since it was a week night it was pretty late for them so it was more or a PJ play date but they had tons of fun. We were surprised she held herself together for so long running on only 1/2 hour of sleep. She still has her cough and stuffy nose though, I'm really hoping the cough goes away soon and doesn't get any worse. Hope you have a great Tuesday...

Visitors

Good Morning everyone. Back to the Monday routine, as long as I don't have to encounter another centipede I might be able to make it (shiver). We had a great weekend with Grandpa and Grandma Soetaert here to visit and help us chop our wood. There was a ton of wood to chop and they made it through all of it so that was a huge feat! Other then the wood chopping we went to the Farmer's Market and got some fresh veggies and fruit, we went out to lunch, we made a lot more baby food (zucchini, squash, carrots and sweet potatoes) and we had some family time. It was a productive weekend with a little napping mixed in. Daphne did much better at school on Thursday last week so we are hoping it will continue on to this week. Monday's are usually a little tougher since she's readjusting after the whole weekend, and I think toof #8 is poking thought right about now so we'll see where that takes us. Daphne's 9 month visit is on Thursday so we will have a full report out on how she is doing. Have a great Monday...

Mystery Solved

Good morning everyone. Finally it is Thursday, just have to make it through the day and we will be done for the week! I solved the mystery of the creature yesterday, for those of you that are interested. It was a house centipede. According to online they are fairly common and harmless, according to my original instinct I would argue the opposite. Daphne had a good day at school yesterday. She was happy and smiley. She drank 2.5oz, mostly from a cup and cold but at least it was something. Her teeth are still working there way through, 7 is visible and 8 is almost visible. She does have the teething runny nose and a bit of a cough but hopefully those will disappear quickly. Creppy Crawler Wednesday

AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I just screamed as I was sitting here typing this at the computer. The most repulsive, creepy, strange and utterly horrifying thing just crawled on the wall behind the computer...so I of course took a picture and posted it below. What the he*% is that!?!? Oh my gosh that totally threw my morning for a loop...and then disappeared completely, that's comforting! I am now typing with my legs off the floor and the keyboard on my lap. It will take me at least 20 minutes for my heart rate to go back to normal. Anyway, subject at hand, Peanut...she had a better day at school yesterday. They said she was much happier and smiley. She only ate 1.5 oz of milk though, she is making them nervous with her not eating. She is still eating OK at home and everything but they are kind of worried. I'm not too worried since she is still happy, has wet/dirty diapers and eats ALL afternoon and night....but I would feel much better if she started eating at school! Here is another picture of John and Daphne, much better then the creepy creature below. And just as an update, I just looked into the living room and it was sprinting across our rug in leaps and bounds...so I killed it. And screamed, Mike is probably wondering what is going on. Good Morning. Another Monday down and 3 days left to the week. Yesterday was an ok day for Peanut at school. Her teeth are bugging her and she is boycotting the bottle lately so that kind of sucks for everyone. Other then that it was pretty uneventful all in all. We are just working on making it through the rest of the week, hope you guys are have a great week...

Welcome Home

Good morning everyone. We are home and had a great weekend visiting John, Heather and Lennon. Daphne had a blast playing with Lennon and meeting John and Heather again. The vast majority of our weekend was spent sitting in the beautiful new house they are renting and watching Daphne and Lennon play with a new toy we picked up on the way down, a little toy kitchen. Who would have thought one toy could have an age range of 9 months - 5 years! It was great watching them both play with it, in fact so great that's what we spent most of the days doing. We also went on a few walks to the coffee shop and had some excellent meals. We are happy to be home but not looking forward to the start of another week of school and work. I'm coming to get you Mom...

Good Morning, we made it to the end of our week! Yay! The teeth are still painful and the nose is still running but we have made it through another week. She is really starting to move around now. She can crawl from the living room to wherever I go. Yesterday I took of her diaper in the bedroom for her bath and she booked it once she felt the freedom. I followed her wondering where she would end up. With her little bath wash cloth in her hand, so I wouldn't have to carry it, of course, she crawled across the bedroom, into the hall, into the bathroom, over to the bathtub and pulled herself up on the tub wall. She was ready for her bath dang it and we were not fast enough. It was pretty cute, naked and all. Needless to say we will be getting baby gates this weekend. We are heading down to Chicago this weekend to visit John, Heather and Lennon. It will be the 2nd time they have seen her so we can't wait. Have a great weekend everyone!

They're back....

Good Morning everyone...only 1 day left, what a great week! Yesterday was an ok day for Peanut at school, she is teething again so it was a little rough all in all. We should be happy since we had a long no teething time but it's still always so hard when you can see the little white nub almost poking through the gums and she is protesting in pain. We are fully stocked up on out teething remedy, thanks to grandpa, so at least we are set to go. I can't get the pictures to work this morning so you'll have to envision and little squirming teething bundle of happiness. Have a great Wednesday!

Good Morning everyone, I hope you had a great Labor Day weekend. We had a nice relaxing weekend here. The weather was great and we got to hang out around home for most of it. Here is a brief list of some of our weekend adventures...

Weekend Fun

We are having a great 4 day weekend...look at the treats I made for Peanut....The little animals name is Pandu (named by Mike of course). The bib is suppose to be a flower, not sure if it turned the best, they were both first attempts.

Yogurt & Pancakes

Yay, we have reached this weeks finish line!! One day left and we are free.... So far this week has gone pretty well, nothing too exciting to report. Daphne has been trying yogurt for the past few days and seems to like it so far. She also ate dinner with us last night officially for the first time. We had pancakes and so did she. We put some cut up pieces on her tray and she munched away. Some even had a little yogurt spread on them. She seemed to love them so that is good. Hope you all have a great Thursday. Not sure if I will post tomorrow, if the stars align I'm sure you'll see something, but, if not, have a great long weekend and i will see you Tuesdday!

Comments Appreciated

I call this picture "I'm suppose to be in bed but I wouldn't sleep so dad built me a fort" (insert baby laughs here). The other night she was just not ready to go to sleep so we came downstairs and played a bit, she thought it was just hilarious, in her drool stained PJ's and all. Our week is going pretty good. The mornings are chilly but the days are sunny and pretty decent. Thought I'd use this post as an opportunity to say thanks to those that comment on my posts, it's fun to read picture comments or just day to day comments, like a little treat every time I sit down to post. Wardrobe Change

One day down for the week, 3 more to go! Yesterday was a pretty usual Monday. School and work went well as we all readjusted back into the week. This whole week should be pretty uneventful for us so that's kind of nice. Then it will be a 4 day weekend! Yay for the bonus from Labor Day! Its been pretty chilly out here lately so we are busting out Peanuts fall clothes. I am realizing that she doesn't have all that many and will need some more pants and long sleeve shirts in order to make it in our frigid Wisconsin temps so I will add that to my to do list for this weekend.
