Out to dinner

Yay, Thursday has arrived! We have out department picnic in the park all afternoon (well it's just for my department so Mike will still be at work). Only the morning of work left for the week, too bad I have about 8 days worth of stuff I am supposed to get done. Peanut had a good day yesterday, we did something spontaneous and unheard of....we went out to dinner! Yes, we were amazed as well, out to dinner on a week night with Peanut. We thought we'd give it a shot. Grandma was here and it was her birthday yesterday so we decided why not. We went to Il Ritrovo, it's this really great wood fire Italian pizza place in town. Daphne did great. She was busy jumping and playing in our arms so she was definitely a handful but she remained happy the whole time, AND we got to eat our most favorite pizza for the first time in at least a year. Well I have tomorrow off so I'm not sure if there will be a post, it will be a surprise. If not, have a great weekend!

Undies on my head Wednesday

One more day of the week down and one more to go, that's reason enough to wear undies on my head! Ok not me, but Peanut at least. Yesterday was a good day, work was bearable and at school they said she is really starting to move around so that's exciting. They mentioned how she was on the playmat playing with toys and they looked away for a second and next thing they knew she had backwards scooted herself under one of the cribs and into a corner so she needed rescuing. Next week she will officially start her month as "Baby of the Month". That means she gets about 10 pictures of our choosing on the board outside the room with a little info about her. Let's just say I don't know who is more excited, Peanut or Mike. Well, ok Peanut has no clue but on the inside I think she is excited. Every time a new month rolls around and we are walking by the board Mike would bring up the topic of her being the baby of the month and thinking they had some evil scheme to skip her all together, needless to say that theory is shattered and on Monday all her pictures will be up. Teething Victory

Drum Roll.................. Toof #5 and Toof #6 are through the gum!!!!! Yeah, we made it and have all survived. We are hoping that this will bring back some of those more sleepy nights and happy days for Peanut. Yesterday she was a bit cranky, but if you consider the two teeth poking through she was in great spirits. Last night was a fitful sleep full of wiggles and fusses. She is already awake upstairs with Mike playing with some toys. Hopefully at daycare she can have a bit more fun now that they have poked through. Other then that everything is going well here. It's hot, 80ish and humid so we used the air for the second time this summer last night. Alright I'm off to start my day, I can hear my animals breaking all sorts of animal rules behind me this morning. Cat eating dog food, dog eating cat food, oh the insanity. Have a great Tuesday!

Routine Monday

Happy Monday everyone...hope you all had a great weekend. We had a nice stay at home and relax weekend, and even managed to get some much needed stuff done around the house. The bikes are finally registered even though it's almost August so now we can go on bike rides with Peanut. The back patio is the cleanest it's been all summer and the lawn is mowed, combined it looks like a whole new house! Our gutters have been cleaned (we hired someone to clean those), our laundry is done, there are no dishes by the sink, we had friends over for dinner on Saturday and grilled out, we filed some much needed paperwork from too long ago to mention, we picked raspberries at a friends house, we went to the farmers market, we went to the kids room at the library, we read books, had a stuffed animal party, we went on a walk, we went to Target, we rested, and all in all enjoyed the weekend.

Squash Day

Whew, we finally made it to the end of the week. Yesterday was a lot of fun, the weather was great and the afternoon in the park was a blast. We even got done at 3 so we got to pick Peanut up early. Today I will be going to work, since I took Monday off. One more week and my 4 day weeks will officially start so all this screwy schedule stuff can be over. Daphne is doing good, her next teeth are almost through now, hopefully over the weekend that issue will be resolved. She is being a trooper about it though. Today we are going to send some squash to school with her to see if she will eat any while she is there, should be interesting. This weekend we plan on doing NOTHING mixed with some relaxing and farmers market. Have a great weekend everyone!

Day in the Park

Good Morning everyone. Today we are on a bit of a different schedule because at work it is a "fun" day. We have an awards ceremony in the morning and a picnic all afternoon, so we get to go into work later. It should be a fun day, even though I wish Peanut could be there with us. Oh well, we will cut out early and go pick her up.

Tiny White Hat

Well we all made it through the day yesterday, and now we are already halfway through the week! Daphne had a good day at school. They now have another new baby in her room, that's two new babies in the last couple weeks. It won't be long until she moves over to the other side of the wall with all the big kids, my how time flies. Have a great Wednesday everyone!
