Here is a list of various events going on through July in Sheboygan.  I've gleamed these from newsletters, Facebook pages, websites and the Sheboygan Press.  I am only human so I would confirm these prior by doing a quick internet search or sending me a message to see if i have more info.  I didn't include all the details of the event, most additional info should be available online easily enough.  Enjoy and hope to see some of you at the events!

The Moon

Driving home at night Daphne looks out the window and the big, almost full, moon...

"Daddy, I must be the moons favorite little girl because it's following me home!"

Vampires! Fairies!

Descriptive details

Daphne: "Mom, have you seen my other teddy bear? He looks like a sausage and he's brown."

No....no I have never seen a teddy bear like that.

"Beterinarian"

Daphne (with her big bucket of doctor supplies in hand): Come on Oscar, it's time for the bet.
Oscar: twitch
Daphne: Time for your shot. Now time for your temperature. Come on little guy
Oscar (moves 4 ft away hoping that will save him): meoooow
Daphne: oh you want to go over there, ok (picks up her big bucket and moves)

This moving and following stage happens about 5 more times including under the dinging room table and her own selection of on top of her little table in the living room. He is surprisingly accepting, especially if it's a sunny spot. The game is finished with Daphne's declaration that "he is fixed and new. If he gets lost I'll come find him. Keep an eye out for him, I'm counting on you."

Winter time

Happy new year everyone, I'm hoping to be able to write more this year and keep posting pictures but I always say that and it gets away from me... We had a great christmas and new years visiting family and friends. Everyone was happy and healthy and it was nice to have Mike home for so long! Quinn and Violet had their 9mo check ups a bit late but everything looked good. Quinn is 20.lbs 3oz (about 50%) and Violet is 14lbs 13oz (about 3%). They aren't crawling or walking yet, but do roll around and scoot a bit. Violet loves standing up and holding on to stuff but hasn't quit mastered how to pull herself up yet. Within the next two months I expect we will have a set of movers on our hands, as much as fhet terrifies me to acknowledge. Daphne is doing great and getting so big! She is great company and a wonderful chatty companion for me all week long. At her 3 year check up she was 28.5 lbs and 37.5" (50%) and right on track. I registered her for preschool at the John Michael Kohler Art Center last week, she will start 2 days a week in September. It is a summer away but I cant believe it's so close. She is excited and I know she will do great. It's an arts based program and the classroom is so wonderful, full of fun toys and so much natural light. The teachers are really friendly and the building has so many great resources the kids utilizes (theater for dancing, outdoor courtyard, art exhibits, performers, etc). Other then that we are enjoying the snow that finally arrived and working our way through the rest of winter. Next up is valentines day so we have started our morning crafts with that in mind. Then before we know it we will have a 3 year old and two 1 year olds.....where does the time go!!

Monday, Monday

Daphne was trying to quote Toy Story tonight and said "There's a boot in my snake!"....it's suppose to be "There's a snake in my boot!"

Some of her new favorites are...

"I looked all over for it!" regarding anything she is ever looking for

"Thanks, I looked everday all over everyday for that and didn't find it." regarding anything we find for her

When she see's any ant she says "Bye, bye, they are going to gymnastics."

Daphne says....

After I put her in her carseat she says with a big smile and surprised voice, "You didn't bonk my head!!"


As she's bargaining with me to take a little berry she picked off our bush into the car with her she says "I won't put it in my nose or mouth.". She won me over.


And after a "daddy gym" experience gone bad a couple days ago (she bit mikes back) she was climbing on him again this morning and gets off and says "I didn't bite your back!" in a very proud voice.

When Mike asked if she needed anything as he was tucking her in for the night she replied out of nowhere with "Pumpkin pie.". I wish!

This one is by far my favorite...... As Mike was putting her to bed she told him "When I get older I'll be a daddy, right now I'm a Daphne.".

3 little monkeys

Things have been going well here, busy as usual! Here are a few highlights of the past weeks...
* The twins will be 6 months in a little over a week!!
* Violet has her two bottom teeth through the gums as of this morning, Quinn's are almost through
* Quinn's favorite thing to do is stand when you hold him
* Violet's favorite thing to do is chew on blankets and bounce in the jumper, and she can sit up by herself for a few seconds too
* They both laugh hysterically at anything Daphne is doing
* Daphne's new thing to say when we ask her to do something is "I'm sorry the baby is (crying, sleeping, hungry), I've got to go help them."

5 months

Violet and Quinn had a 5 month appointment for shots today and are doing great. Violet is 13lbs 2oz and Quinn is 16lbs 2oz.

Today on our walk as Daphne was strolling next to me looking at houses she said....
"These not Daphne's house, my house at home." Very true.... :)

Daphne-isms

Daphne has really started saying some funny stuff, so in attempts to post more often and spread her cuteness to all I will share Daphne quotes, and cute pictures when I have the chance.


Mike took Daphne to Home Depot this weekend to get some paint brushes. He picked out a big one and a small one, which she instantly picked up and held together and said "mommy and baby brush, they're hugging!"

As she was turning off the water faucet after washing her hands, a drop off water fell, prompting here to say "look, a baby puddle."

And last one I have saved in my head is from this morning when, after taking her swimsuit off, she randomly declared "My belly buttons not dirty!"

Not nearly as much time to post as I hope but here are some more pictures. Everyone is doing good and getting big. The twins will be 3 months old on Tuesday! Can't believe it's already been 3 months. We are finally able to enjoy some nice weather and have been outside more these past couple weeks.

Quick minute

It has been impossible to post lately since I have to do it from my desktop to get pictures on. Time for that is limited, as I'm sure you can imagine! Everyone is doing great, the twins are almost 8 weeks old and getting big. Daphne is a huge help and great big sister. Staying home is busy and a lot of work but I love it so far. Hope to be on more often at some point, in the meantime here are some recent pictures!
