That good things come in small packages.I have to work today because of a meeting this afternoon so it's not our usual happy Friday. Mike leaves for China Sunday morning for a week. Daphne seems to be having good visits to the next room at school with only a few tears so hopefully next week full time over there goes well for her. She gets to bring a friend from home to nap with so she now takes her baby doll Nina.....the one pictured above is Nina's brother Leonard. They are the same doll, just one is a girl and one is a boy, we needed a back up since she loves them so much. Have a great weekend!

Daphne is having a great week and seems to be getting over her cough and stuffy nose. We have no big weekend plans but it will be a 4 day weekend for me because I am taking Monday off next week instead of Friday. Have a great weekend!

Good Morning everyone. We had a laid back weekend of staying home so Daphne would get better. I think she is on the mend now so we plan on going to school and work. Hope you all had a great weekend.

* We had Internet issues this morning so my post is late. Peanut is doing good, she didn't feel so good yesterday so she came home from school early with Dad. She had a good rest of the day and night. She is back and school today and we are excited for the weekend. We found out today that she will be moving to the next room on February 1st...cots, one nap a day and big kids here we come!

Something New...

Good Morning everyone. I'm sure you have noticed my new look....thanks to Jake I was able to update our blog! I have also decided to change things up a bit. From here on out each day I'm going to post "Things We Have Learned From Our Daughter". One thing will be posted each day with a picture to go with it. If I don't have a big update for the day then that will be all there is, but if I do have milestones or exciting things to share they will be there too. We had a great weekend and mostly just hung around and relaxed. Today's picture is from our trip on New Year's Day to Blue Harbor Water Park. Daphne LOVED it and had the time of her life. I would also like to say HAPPY 13month BIRTHDAY to Peanut!!! I can't believe it goes so fast... Have a good Monday everyone and hope you like the changes that are coming...

The last day of the week

Well, we made it, almost. One day left and we have our weekend. I was thinking about changing up the blog a bit since it's been almost a year of me posting. I have some ideas so hopefully I'll get a chance to work on them this weekend and next week they will be ready. Everyone had a good day yesterday, nothing new to report. Daphne's rash is still getting better and she has started running. Today's pictures are her continuing her Christmas celebration by playing with her puppy, practicing her walking and trying to wedge herself in a tight space. Waddle Wednesday

Good Morning everyone, we are halfway through the week! It seems like 2 days is an eternity for this second half though, ugh. Daphne had a better day at school yesterday since we stopped the antibiotics and her rash is clearing up. She even snuck in two short naps! She is cruising all over the place with her new walking skills. She seems to walk like a little person opposed to the standard new baby wide leg waddle, we will try and get some video and post it. It's hard to believe that we have moved from our daily crawl to the bathtub routine to walk to the bathtub...and that she'll be 13 months in 5 days! Today's pictures are from Christmas day. She loved getting her very own apple in her stocking and ate a bunch of it. She was so tuckered out from present opening that she had to crash for a nap with dad. Have a great Wednesday!

I think I can, I think I can

Good Morning and happy Tuesday everyone. Yesterday was alright considering it was our first day back. Daphne had an ok day at school, she had trouble napping since she didn't have a mom or dad to snuggle with. She also has developed a bad diaper rash from her antibiotics so that kind of put a damper on her day. We have decided to stop the antibiotics since her rash is so bad so hopefully she is on her way to recovery. Work was uneventful but a challenge to get back into the work mindset. Today's pictures are from Christmas eve. She had a great time at Grandma and Grandpa Soetaert's Christmas Eve party. She got to see all kinds of people and got some really fun presents. Back to Work Monday

Welcome back everyone... It is unfortunately time for us to return to the work and school daily routine. It seems horrific that I am sitting here at 5am in a cold house staring out into freezing darkness when we would still be sleeping for almost 3 more hours over these past couple of weeks. We had a great week full a lot of great adventures and relaxation...and, of course, even more pictures. We officially have a walker now. She walks at least 60% of the time and crawls the rest so I would say she is off. I will have many updates and stories to come the rest of this week but this morning it's still too early, Peanuts picture sums up how we are all feeling at 5am. Hope you had great holidays!
